The Classroom Environment
The classroom environment functions reasonably effectively, with little loss of instructional time. Expectations for student learning and conduct are appropriate, and routines and use of space support student learning. Interactions among individuals are respectful.
2a. Creating an environment of respect and rapport.
This category is difficult to showcase in a photo or bullet points, but I believe I have a very strong rapport with both students and staff. This can be seen in interactions during class, in the hallways, while teaching or coaching or advising, when talking with others. I try my hardest to keep a positive and realistic attitude at school, and I believe that shows.

2b. Establishing a learning culture that is
challenging/rigorous.
2c. Managing classroom procedures.

2d. Managing student behavior.
- Several procedural posters are placed throughout the library, including general library rules and reminders.
- When students visit the library, they are aware of its expectations. If they behave in a way unfitting of the library, they are asked to correct their behavior. If necessary, students are asked to leave the library.
2e. Organizing physical space.
This year, I implemented a Quick Search Station in the library. The station will consist of an iPad mounted to the wall on an adjustable "arm." The station will allow students to search for library materials quickly and easily. Since the iPad offers touch and voice options, more students will be able to access more information. The Quick Search Station was made available through the 2015 Warrior Run Classroom Innovation Grant for Teachers.

The library is arranged in a manner well suited to serving all school library patrons. We are able to accommodate organized classes and individual students. There is room for educational and recreational enjoyment of the library resources, as can be seen on the Library Map.
